GFAF CREATED THE ANNUAL WELTNER FREEDOM OF INFORMATION BANQUET TO RAISE FUNDS AND SERVE AS AN ANNUAL RALLY FOR FREEDOM OF INFORMATION IN GEORGIA. THE BANQUEST HONORS THE FORMER CHIEF OF JUSTICE OF GEORGIA SUPREME COURT, CHARLES L. WELTNER, WHO CHAMPIONED FOI AND ETHICS IN STATE GOVERNMENT.
