MEDICAL SERVICES: PROVIDED 41,571 UNITS OF MEDICAL, MENTAL HEALTH AND INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVICES TO 6,475 PATIENTS. PATIENTS IN NEED OF ADDITIONAL SERVICES COULD BE REFERRED TO CARDIOLOGY, GENERAL SURGERY, HEMATOLOGY, LABORATORY, NEPHROLOGY, NEUROLOGY, NUTRITION, RADIOLOGY AND UROLOGY. THESE SERVICES WERE FUNDED BY RYAN WHITE FUNDING THROUGH HRSA DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY THROUGH FULTON COUNTY AND GA DEPT OF HHS, AS WELL AS SAMHSA DIRECTLY AND THE UNITED WAY/IMPACT FUND.
PREVENTION SERVICES: PROVIDED 8,816 HIV TESTINGS AND IDENTIFIED 141 NEW HIV-POSITIVE CASES; RE-LINKED PREVIOUSLY HIV-POSITIVE PERSONS OUT OF CARE BACK INTO HIV MEDICAL CARE; CONDUCTED STD SCREENINGS; VACCINATED PATIENTS AGAINST HEPATITIS A/B; AND STARTED INDIVIDUALS ON PREP. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED ONE-ON-ONE ONE-HOUR RISK COUNSELING SESSIONS AND OVER 206,779 FREE CONDOMS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO HIGH-RISK COMMUNITIES IN METRO ATLANTA THROUGH BARS, SEX CLUBS AND FREE COMMUNITY CONDOM DISPENSERS. PREVENTION SERVICES WERE FUNDED BY CDC, SAMHSA, GA DEPT OF HHS AND FULTON COUNTY.
CLIENT SERVICES: PROVIDED 23,684 UNITS OF SERVICE TO 4,395 PATIENTS. SERVICES WERE PROVIDED FOR MEDICAL CASE MANAGEMENT, NON-MEDICAL CASE MANAGEMENT, HOUSING, FOOD VOUCHERS, MEAL/GROCERY DELIVERY, TRANSLATION, MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION AND PATIENT NAVIGATOR ACTIVITIES. THESE SERVICES WERE FUNDED THROUGH RYAN WHITE FUNDING THROUGH HRSA DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY THROUGH FULTON COUNTY AND GA DEPT OF HHS, AS WELL AS SAMHSA DIRECTLY AND BY HOWA FUNDING, THROUGH THE CITY OF ATLANTA.
