COORDINATE AND SUBSIDIZE INMAN PARK SECURITY PATROLS THROUGH WHICH ATLANTA POLICE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS PROVIDE ADDITIONAL HOURS OF COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. EXTRA PATROL HOURS PLUS OFFICER ATTENDANCE AND REPORTS AT MONTHLY NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGS PROVIDE ADDITIONAL PROTECTION AND KEEP THE COMMUNITY INFORMED ON CRIME PATTERNS AS WELL AS WAYS RESIDENTS CAN KEEP THEMSELVES SAFER.
COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT THROUGH LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE OF MINI-PARKS AND SUPPORT FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS WHICH SERVE THE INMAN PARK NEIGHBORHOOD AND SUPPORT FOR ADDITIONAL POLICING IN ADJACENT BUSINESS DISTRICT.
SUBSIDIZE MAINTENANCE OF SPRINGVALE PARK, A LARGE HISTORIC PARK AT THE CENTER OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD WHICH IS INTEGRAL TO THE HISTORIC CHARACTER AND DESIGN OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD. IPNA CONSISTENTLY FUNDS MAINTENANCE OVER AND ABOVE THAT PROVIDED BY THE CITY OF ATLANTA FOR THE PARK. THE SPRINGVALE PARK COMMITTEE IS ALSO ENGAGED IN PROJECTS TO RESTORE THE PARK TO ITS ORIGINAL STATUS AS A WELL LANDSCAPED GREENSPACE WITH A SAFE, CLEAN PLAYGROUND AND SPACES FOR NEIGHBORHOOD GATHERINGS.
PROMOTE NEIGHBORHOOD COMMUNICATION AND CONNECTIONS THROUGH NEWSLETTERS, WEBSITE, MONTHLY MEETINGS, AND SOCIAL EVENTS OPEN TO ALL RESIDENTS.
