RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION ABRC PROVIDED GRANT APPLICATION SUBMISSION AND CONTRACT NEGOTIATION SERVICES FOR INVESTIGATORS. ABRC PROVIDED FISCAL OVERSIGHT TO INCLUDE ADMINISTRATION OF THE PROJECT FUNDS, MONITORING BUDGETS, AND CREATING TIMELY FINANCIAL REPORTS. ABRC ADMINISTERS 24 ACCOUNTS FOR 17 MEMBERS CONDUCTING ACTIVE RESEARCH IN THE FOLLOWING RESEARCH AREAS: CARDIOLOGY, NEUROLOGY, DERMATOLOGY, UROLOGY, GERIATRICS, PROSTATE CANCER, OPHTHALMOLOGY AND ONCOLOGY. EDUCATION ACTIVITIES ABRC PROVIDES FUNDS TO ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION IN AND SUPPORT OF THE VA RESEARCH WEEK ACTIVITIES. HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATION ABRC HIRES RESEARCH STAFF DIRECTLY OR REIMBURSES ANOTHER EMPLOYER FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES' TIME SPENT WORKING ON VA APPROVED RESEARCH STUDIES.
