SUMMER RESIDENTIAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS THIS FLAGSHIP PROGRAM OF 21ST CENTURY LEADERS, INC. IS A LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH COMPRISED OF THREE ONE-WEEK RESIDENTIAL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTES ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES, WORKING WITH DIVERSE PEERS AND BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS. IN 2021, DUE TO THE CONTINUED IMPACTS AND HEALTH REGULATIONS OF COVID-19, WE HAD TO HOST OUR RESIDENTIAL SUMMER INSTITUTES VIRTUALLY FOR A SECOND SUMMER AT NO CHARGE TO ANY STUDENT. WE SERVED 324 STUDENTS FROM 132 HIGH SCHOOLS LED BY 266 BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL VOLUNTEERS AND OVER 80 HOURS OF LIVE CONTACT WITH STUDENTS. (SEE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON SCHEDULE O)
SCHOOL-YEAR PROGRAMS 21ST CENTURY LEADERS PROVIDES A NUMBER OF EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR. WE SERVED 966 STUDENTS THROUGH OUR ONLINE LEARNING PLATFORM, LEADERSHIP CONNECT, DOUBLING OUR ENROLLMENT FOR A SECOND YEAR IN A ROW. WE DELIVERED OVER 100 MODULES OF GAMIFIED CONTENT IN SEVEN CORE LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES WITHIN LEADERSHIP CONNECT. DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, WE CONTINUED TO FACE CHALLENGES WITH OUR SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY BASED CLUBS, BUT NEARLY DOUBLED OUR NUMBER OF CLUBS TO 21 HIGH SCHOOLS/COMMUNITY CENTERS ACROSS GEORGIA, SERVING OVER 150 STUDENTS. HOMEWORK CENTERS OUR HOMEWORK CENTER PROGRAM ESTABLISHED AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORING AND ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS IN GEORGIA TITLE 1 ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS FOR UP TO FOUR YEARS AT EACH SCHOOL. IN THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR THE PROGRAM SERVED 175 STUDENTS IN NINE SCHOOLS WITHIN SIX SCHOOL DISTRICTS. DUE TO COVID-19, THE HOMEWORK CENTERS OPERATED THE ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR VIRTUALLY HEAVILY IMPACTING ATTENDANCE AND EXTRA-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES AND ACTIVITIES. HOWEVER, 100% OF PARENTS AGREE THAT SINCE ATTENDING THE SCANA ENERGY HOMEWORK CENTER, THEIR CHILD IS DOING BETTER ON SCHOOLWORK, 100% OF PARENTS REPORTED THAT THEIR HOMEWORK CENTER PROVIDES THEIR CHILD THE ADDITIONAL ATTENTION (SEE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON SCHEDULE O)
