THE SBA IS A VOLUNTARY COMMUNITY-ORIENTED BAR ASSOCIATION WITH OVER 600 MEMBERS. IT WAS FORMED IN THE EARLY 1950S TO PROMOTE INTERESTS IN THE LEGAL FIELD, DIGNITY AND CHARACTER OF THE BAR OF THE LOCAL AREA.SBA IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING AN ORGANIZATION WHERE MEMBERS OF THE LEGAL COMMUNITY CAN SERVE THE PUBLIC UNDER THE HIGHEST ETHICAL AND PROFDESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES SO EACH MEMBER HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME INVOLVED CIVICALLY & SOCIALLY, AND PARTICIPATE IN ONGOING EDUCATION.SBA FUNDS ITS ACTIVITIES THROUGH MEMBERSHIP DUES AND OTHER SELF-GENERATED INCOME.

PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES ARE ENCOURAGED AND PROMOTED. EVENTS INCLUDE RECEPTIONS FOR NEW ATTORNEYS, YOUNG LAWYERS' SECTION, WOMEN'S SECTION, GOLF TOURNAMENT, FAMILY DAY, MEMORIAL AND RECOGNITION CEREMONIES, AND LAW WEEK ACTIVITIES. EVENTS, EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND LEGAL RELATED ARTICLES ARE PUBLISHED IN A PERIODICAL SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR.
