PROMOTION AND TRAINING FOR THE SPORT OF ROWING.

ROWING CLUB MEMBERSHIP FEES SO THAT MEMBERS CAN PRACTICE AND DISPLAY ROWING ACTIVITIES. APPROXIMATELY 270 MEMBERS AT YEAR END.
APPROXIMATELY 60% OF MEMBERSHIP, INCLUDING ABLE-BODIED AND PARA/ADAPTIVE ROWERS, PARTICIPATES IN INTRODUCTORY, RECREATIONAL, AND COMPETITIVE ROWING PROGRAMS MULTIPLE TIMES PER WEEK. BETWEEN 60-75 NON-MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN LEARN TO ROW CLASSES ON AN ANNUAL BASIS. ADDITIONAL PARA AND ADAPTIVE CLINICS ARE HELD IN COOPERATION WITH LOCAL AND REGIONAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS FOR PEOPLE WITH COGNITIVE, PHYSICAL, OR VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS.
ANNUAL REGATTA ACTIVITIES HELD TO PROMOTE THE SPORT OF ROWING ON A LOCAL AND NATIONAL LEVEL. REGATTA HOSTED OVER 7,000 ATHLETES FROM ACROSS THE NATION OVER TWO DAYS WITH APPROXIMATELY 40 MEMBERS PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT. ALL ATLANTA ROWING CLUB MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO VOLUNTEER FOR THE REGATTA. IN APRIL 2021, THE ANNUAL REGATTA, KNOWN AS THE HEAD OF THE HOOCH REGATTA, FORMALLY SEPARATED INTO ITS OWN CHARITABLE NONPROFIT, THE FRIENDS OF THE HOOCH INC. THE ATLANTA ROWING CLUB REMAINS AS A CO-HOSTING ORGANIZATION WITH AGREEMENTS FOR REGATTA PLANNING, MANAGEMENT, AND VOLUNTEERING AS WELL AS A LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR THE USE OF TRADEMARKS AND LOGOS.
