PADD - PROTECTION AND ADVOCACY FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES PADD PROGRAM - ASSISTS PERSONS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILTIES TO: 1) BE FREE FROM ABUSE AND NEGLECT; 2) IMPROVE ACCESS TO SERVICES AND PROGRAMS; 3) ADVOCATE FOR COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATIONAL, HEALTHCARE, AND OTHER SERVICES APPROPRIATE FOR THEIR NEEDS. GAO CLOSED 57 CASES DURING THE YEAR AND PROVIDED 83 INFORMATION AND REFERRALS.
