Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
CCA'S REFUGEE PROGRAM WELCOMES INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WHO ARE GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS BY THE US STATE DEPARTMENT FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. OUR MULTI-LINGUAL STAFF ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WITH COMPREHENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT, WHICH LAST YEAR RESULTED IN 100% BEING ECONOMICALLY SELF-SUFFICIENT WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF THEIR ARRIVAL TO THE U.S. CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES INCLUDE HOUSEHOLD BUDGETING, FINANCIAL LITERACY, ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE, PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE, AS WELL AS CULTURAL INTEGRATION AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES. WE ALSO ASSIST CLIENTS WITH HOUSING AND FOOD SECURITY, EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT, AND HEALTH SCREENINGS. CCA PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL AND MENTORING SERVICES FOR REFUGEE PARENTS AND STUDENTS AS WELL AS AN AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM FOR ELEMENTARY-AGED REFUGEE STUDENTS AIMED AT IMPROVING CRITICAL ENGLISH LITERACY SKILLS. IN ADDITION, WE FACILITATE COMMUNITY-BASED FAMILY REUNIFICATION SERVICES FOR UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN WHO ARE IN IMMIGRATION PROCEEDINGS. WE WORK TO ENSURE THEIR SAFETY FROM TRAFFICKING AND OTHER DANGERS BY CONDUCTING HOME STUDIES AND CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES.
THE FAMILY STABILIZATION PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN DISTRESS. WE OFFER A COMPLEMENT OF HOLISTIC SERVICES DESIGNED TO HELP CLIENTS ADDRESS THEIR IMMEDIATE NEEDS AND THEN ESTABLISH AND ACHIEVE SELF-SUFFICIENCY GOALS. SERVICES INCLUDE: MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING TO IMPROVE COPING SKILLS; PUBLIC BENEFIT ASSISTANCE TO ENSURE FOOD SECURITY, AND INTEGRATED ENGLISH LITERACY AND CIVICS EDUCATION TO REDUCE BARRIERS FOR EMPLOYMENT AND PREPARE INDIVIDUALS FOR CITIZENSHIP. OUR VETERAN SUPPORTIVE SERVICES AND CASE MANAGEMENT HELP BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN HOMELESSNESS AND PERMANENT HOUSING, CREATE FINANCIAL STABILITY, AND ADDRESS THE EFFECTS OF STRESS, ANXIETY, AND DEPRESSION. CCA'S IN-HOME PARENTING EDUCATION AND CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES PROMOTES HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS THAT PREVENT CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT, WHILE OUR HUD-CERTIFIED HOUSING COUNSELING OFFERS A VARIETY OF ONE-ON-ONE AND GROUP SERVICES INCLUDING PRE- AND POST-PURCHASE HOME EDUCATION, FORECLOSURE INTERVENTION, AND FINANCIAL EDUCATION AND COACHING. CCA ALSO PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS SEEKING FINANCIAL STABILITY AND INDEPENDENCE.
OUR IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES PROGRAM STAFF ASSIST INDIVIDUALS WITH LAWFULLY OBTAINING OR ADJUSTING THEIR IMMIGRATION STATUS IN THE UNITED STATES. A TEAM OF MULTI-LINGUAL STAFF ASSIST CLIENTS WITH A VARIETY OF IMMIGRATION CASES. INCLUDING FAMILY PETITIONS AND HUMANITARIAN APPLICATIONS. ADDITIONALLY, WE PROVIDE LEGAL INFORMATION AND ORIENTATION TO PEOPLE DETAINED BY THE GOVERNMENT AT DETENTION CENTERS IN GEORGIA. WE ALSO PROVIDE SIMILAR LEGAL ORIENTATION TO CUSTODIANS OF MINORS WHO COME TO THE U.S. WE SPECIALIZE IN ASSISTING SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, ABANDONED OR NEGLECTED FOREIGN-BORN CHILDREN, AND VICTIMS OF TRAFFICKING AND CRIMES WITH LEGAL SERVICES.
