ONE AREA OF FOCUS FOR NEIGHBORS TOGETHER IS HUNGER. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A HOT MEAL SERVICE MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY FOR THOSE IN NEED. 255,000 MEALS ARE SERVED TO 10,300 NEIGHBORS IN NEED EACH YEAR. ADDITIONALLY, EMERGENCY GROCERIES ARE PROVIDED TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS ONCE A WEEK.
ECONOMIC MOBILITY NEIGHBORS TOGETHER IS DEVELOPING PARTNERSHIPS TO ACHIEVE OUR STRATEGIC INITIATIVE TO EQUIP PEOPLE WITH THE TOOLS NECESSARY TO IMPROVE THEIR FINANCIAL SITUATION. OUR PLAN IS TO HELP INDIVIDUALS WHEREVER THEY ARE ON THE JOURNEY TO EMPLOYMENT, FROM GED TO JOB SKILLS TO BUSINESS COACHING.
HOMELESSNESS NEIGHBORS TOGETHER WORKS TO CONNECT NEIGHBORS TO HOUSING RESOURCES AND HELP MAKE ENDS MEET THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT PROVIDE RENTAL AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE. WE ALSO WORK WITH PARTNER AGENCIES TO FIND AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPTIONS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS THE HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAM HELPS THOSE WHO CANT AFFORD MEDICAL TREATMENT THROUGH ASSISTANCE WITH PRESCRIPTIONS, EYEGLASSES, AND DENTURES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PARTNERS WITH OTHER AGENCIES AND CLINICS TO PROVIDE MEDICAL CARE FOR THE COMMUNITY. FOR EXAMPLE, THROUGH SEVERAL DIFFERENT PARTNERSHIPS WE CURRENTLY OFFER THE FOLLOWING: COVID VACCINE CLINICS, FLU SHOT CLINIC, AND PREVENTIVE SCREENING CLINICS.
