THE HIGH POINT HISTORICAL SOCIETY INC. OWNS, MAINTAINS, AND IS EXPANDING THE COLLECTION OF ARTIFACTS (NOW OVER 37,000) SHOWN IN THE MUSEUM AND PROVIDES VOLUNTEERS AND FUNDING FOR EXHIBITS, PROGRAMS, AND EVENTS TO SHOWCASE THOSE ARTIFACTS, HELPING THE PEOPLE OF GREATER HIGH POINT TO LEARN ABOUT THE REGION'S PAST AND HOW IT AFFECTS OUR PRESENT AND FUTURE. IT IS THE PRIMARY NONGOVERNMENTAL SOURCE OF FUNDING FOR THE MUSEUM.
