GUYANA, SOUTH AMERICA INITIATIVE IS TO EDUCATE AND EMPOWER WOMEN AND CHILDREN THAT ARE IMPACTING A GENERATION WE HAVE A COUPLE WHO ARE FOCUSING ON REACHING OUT TO THE INDIAN DIASPORA. THEY WERE ABLE TO CONDUCT CAMPS AND MEETINGS FOR CHILDREN AND WOMEN BY HELPING THEM WITH THEIR PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL NEEDS. WOMEN ARE MOSTLY VICTIMS OF ALCOHOLISM, FAMILY VIOLENCE, AND ABUSE FROM THEIR SPOUSES. CHILDREN'S EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS CONTINUE TO TAKE ROOTS IN THE COMMUNITY.
EDUCATING AND EMPOWERING WOMEN IN MAHABALIPURAM AREA IN TAMIL NADU OUR INDIAN INITIATIVE, IN MAHABALIPURAM IN TAMIL NADU INDIA, CONTINUES TO SUPPORT THE UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN OF WIDOWS AND ENCOURAGES THEIR PURSUIT OF EDUCATION AND PROMOTES OVERALL DEVELOPMENT. FUNDS ARE PROVIDED FOR CHILDREN'S SCHOOL FEES, UNIFORMS, BOOKS, AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES. THE EDUCATION PROGRAM IS GEARED TOWARD FORMER STUDENTS OF ACHIEVER ACADEMY SCHOOL ENABLING THEM TO COMPLETE SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY EDUCATION. A NEW INITIATIVE IN CALCUTTA WEST BENGAL, INDIA, IS TOWARDS EMMANUEL SCHOOL,MOSTLY FOR THE POOREST OF THE POOR AND CHILDREN FROM THE STREETS. EMMANUEL SCHOOL IS AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL, WHERE MANY CHILDREN WERE ABLE TO GET A UNIVERSITY DEGREE AFTER THE SCHOOL PROGRAM. (CONTINUES BELOW)
MANY OF THE CHILDREN WERE TAKEN FROM THE INDIAN RAILWAY PLATFORMS AND STREETS OF CALCUTTA. WE ARE IN THE FORMATIVE STAGE (FOR 2020) OF ANOTHER INITIATIVE IN NEW DELHI, CAPITAL OF INDIA TO TRAIN AND EDUCATE UNDERPRIVILEGED GRADUATE STUDENTS TO ENTER INTO NATIONAL AND CIVIL SERVICES. THIS INITIATIVE IS FOCUSED ON ERADICATING POVERTY AND CORRECTION IN HIGH LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SERVICES. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- THIRD PROGRAM NARRATIVE STATEMENT: GRANT TO KONTAGIOUS, A 501C3 PUBLIC CHARITY WITH A SIMILAR MISSION AS ACTS OF MERCY.
