THE ROCKTON LIONS OF ROCKTON, ILLINOIS, HAS BEEN SERVING THE STATE-LINE AREA FOR OVER 75 YEARS AND HAS MANY LOCAL FUNDRAISERS AND SERVICE PROJECTS INCLUDING CANDY DAY, FLOWER DAY, A CHILI COOK-OFF, DELIVERING WIMPY'S FUND GIFTS TO FAMILIES IN NEED, HEARING SCREENING, A BLOOD DRIVE, PROVIDING EYE GLASSES TO LOW INCOME CHILDREN, AND OLD SETTLERS DAYS. THE PROFITS FROM THE FUNDRAISERS ARE FUNNELED DIRECTLY BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY SERVING THE NEEDS OF OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS WHILE FOCUSING ON SIGHT AND SOUND RELATED DISABILITIES. THE ROCKTON LIONS IS ONE OF THE LARGEST IN DISTRICT D-1 WITH OVER 70 MEMBERS AND AN AVERAGE MEETING ATTENDANCE OF OVER 60%
