TO SUPPORT THE ADVANCEMENT OF FAMILY MEDICINE IN NORTH CAROLINA BY FOSTERING STUDENT INTEREST IN FAMILY MEDICINE, ENHANCING THE HEALTH OF THE CITIZENS OF OUR STATE, AND ENCOURAGING PHYSICIAN WELL-BEING.

THE NCAFP AND NCAFP FOUNDATION COOPERATED TO HOST ITS ANNUAL WINTER FAMILY PHYSICIANS WEEKEND MEETING, WHERE MEDICAL STUDENTS HAD OPPORTUNITIES TO MEET WITH RESIDENCY PROGRAMS AND LEARN ABOUT FAMILY MEDICINE AS A SPECIALTY WHILE ALSO BEING EXPOSED TO EDUCATIONAL AND HANDS-ON OPPORTUNITIES. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED MEDICAL STUDENTS TRAVEL ASSISTANCE TO ATTEND THIS CONFERENCE. THE NCAFP FOUNDATION GRANTED MULTIPLE SCHOLARSHIPS TO NORTH CAROLINA MEDICAL STUDENTS CONSIDERING CAREERS AS FAMILY PHYSICIANS.
