WILMINGTON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA HELD A SERIES OF PERFORMANCES FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, PROVIDING PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR AREA MUSICIANS AND PROVIDING THE REGION THE CULTURAL BENEFITS OF A SYMPHONY. WSO'S ORCHESTRA MEMBERS ARE DRAWN FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, ALTHOUGH SOME SPECIALTY PLAYERS ARE ATTRACTED FROM THE WIDER REGION. DURING COVID RESTRICTIONS, WHEN CONCERT PERFORMANCES WERE CANCELLED,SMALL GROUPS OF WSO MEMBERS PERFORMED AT LOCAL EVENTS WHICH ALLOWED US TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE SERVICES ON A SMALLER SCALE.
