SISTERS OF MERCY URGENT CARE, INC. DBA: MERCY URGENT CARE PROVIDES TREATMENT FOR NON-LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES AND ILLNESSES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND INDUSTRY THROUGHOUT WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA. THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THIS CORPORATION IS FORMED IS THE PERFORMANCE OF RELIGIOUS, CHARITABLE, HEALTH AND/OR EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEACHINGS AND TRADITION OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, THE PROPER LAW AND TRADITION OF THE SOUTH CENTRAL COMMUNITY, AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE.

SISTERS OF MERCY URGENT CARE, DBA MERCY URGENT CARE PROVIDED PATIENT CARE EQUATING TO 77,440 VISITS FOR FY23 WHICH INCLUDED WORKER'S COMP INJURY VISITS, EMPLOYER PAID SERVICES AND PRIVATELY PAID PATIENT VISITS. OUR 8 LOCATIONS COLLECTIVELY PROVIDED $33,392 IN FREE OR REDUCED CARE (COST BASIS) THROUGH OUR COMPASSIONATE/CHARITY CARE PROGRAM AND WROTE OFF $413,524 IN BAD DEBT. OF THE 77,440 VISITS THAT SOMUC SAW THROUGHOUT FY23, 13,843 OR 18% WERE SERVICES PROVIDED TO EMPLOYERS IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA. OUR EMPLOYER SERVICE OUTREACH PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL EMPLOYERS FOR WORKPLACE INCIDENT MANAGEMENT, SCREENING, AND TESTING TO ASSIST COMPANIES TO BE IN COMPLIANCE AND HAVE A HEALTHIER WORKFORCE.
