THE ORGANIZATION TRAINED, COACHED AND MENTORED MORE THAN 200 UNC STUDENTS IN BROAD AND DEEP JOURNALISM AND BUSINESS SKILLS INVOLVED IN PUBLISHING PRINT AND DIGITAL NEWS AND INFORMATION CONSUMED BY THE UNC-CHAPEL HILL COMMUNITY. THE PRODUCTION AND PUBLICATION SCHEDULES WERE DETERMINED BY THE UNC ACADEMIC SCHEDULE SET BY THE UNC REGISTRAR. THE DAILY TAR HEEL NEWSPAPER PRINTS 9,000 COPIES EVERY WEDNESDAY WHEN CLASSES ARE IN SESSION AND PROVIDES A DIGITAL NEWS REPORT EACH WEEKDAY THAT CLASSES ARE IN SESSION. THE PRINTED COPIES ARE DELIVERED TO ABOUT 200 LOCATIONS ON UNCS CAMPUS AND SURROUNDING AREAS. DAILYTARHEEL.COM WAS VISITED BY 1.5 MILLION USERS FROM JULY 1, 2021 TO JUNE 30 2022. THE ORGANIZATION GAVE DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO MORE THAN 80 STUDENTS OF $120,000.
