TO ACQUIRE AND MAINTAIN FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE HISTORIC HOME OF GOVERNOR DAVID STONE IN BERTIE COUNTY NC KNOWN AS HOPE PLANTATION. THE MISSION INCLUDES PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL CULTURAL AND RECREATIONAL BENEFITS FOR THE PUBLIC AS AN ELEMENT OF THE HERITAGE OF THE ROANOKE-CHOWAN REGION.

ALL ACTIVITIES AT HISTORIC HOPE FOUNDATION INC. ARE DEDICATED TO THE MISSION DESCRIBED ABOVE. MAINTENANCE OF THE THREE HISTORIC HOUSES AND THE ROANOKE-CHOWAN HERITAGE CENTER AND THE PRESENTATION OF VARIOUS PUBLIC EVENTS DURING THE YEAR CONSUME ALL OF THE INCOME AND EXPENSES OF THE FOUNDATION.
