THE PURPOSES OF THIS LOCAL PTA IN COMMON WITH THOSE OF NATIONAL PTA AND NCPTA ARE: A. TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN HOME, SCHOOL, COMMUNITY, AND PLACE OF WORSHIP; B. TO RAISE THE STANDARDS OF HOME LIFE; C. TO SECURE ADEQUATE LAWS FOR THE CARE AND PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH; D. TO BRING INTO CLOSER RELATION THE HOME AND THE SCHOOL, THAT PARENTS AND TEACHERS MAY COOPERATE INTELLIGENTLY IN THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH; E. TO DEVELOP BETWEEN EDUCATORS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC SUCH UNITED EFFORTS AS WILL SECURE FOR ALL CHILDREN AND YOUTH THE HIGHEST ADVANTAGES IN PHYSICAL, MENTAL, SOCIAL, AND SPIRITUAL EDUCATION.

OUR MOST SIGNIFICANT PROGRAM SERVICE EXPENSE WAS THAT WE HELPED PURCHASE 15 SMART TVS AND EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE FOR USE IN THE CLASSROOMS TO MEET EMERGING TECHNOLOGY NEEDS UNDER COVID-19.
OUR OTHER PROGRAM EXPENSES INCLUDED VARIOUS PROGRAMS SUCH AS NEWSLETTERS, BATTLE OF THE BOOKS, AND SPELLING BEE / MATH OLYMPIAD.
OUR SECOND MOST SIGNIFICANT PROGRAM SERVICE EXPENSE WAS GRANTS TO MEET SCHOOL NEEDS. WE PROVIDED $100 GRANTS THAT TEACHERS COULD APPLY TO IN ORDER TO SUPPLEMENT EXPENSES IN THE CLASSROOM. THE TEACHERS HAD TO SUBMIT RECEIPTS FOR EDUCATIONAL EXPENSES, WHICH WE THEN REIMBURSED UP TO $100. WE ALSO PAID GRANTS TO TO THE MEDIA CENTER TO SUPPORT READATHON EXPENSES AS WELL AS THE ART, MUSIC, AND SPANISH PROGRAM TO SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL EXPENSES AND SUPPLIES.
ANOTHER SIGNIFICANT EXPENSE WAS DUES THAT WE PAID FOR MEMBERS. A PORTION OF LOCAL DUES ARE PAID TO THE STATE AND NATIONAL PTA ORGANIZATIONS.
