THE MISSION OF THE WOMEN'S HEALTH CENTER IS TO PROVIDE AND TO ADVOCATE FOR ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE, HIGH QUALITY HEALTH SERVICES, ADDRESSING THE SPECIAL NEEDS OF WOMEN IN A MANNER THAT RESPECTS THEIR DIGNITY, RIGHT OF REPRODUCTIVE CHOICE, PERSONAL VALUES AND CONFIDENTIALITY.

FAMILY PLANNING SERVICES PROVIDE BIRTH CONTROL COUNSELING AND SUPPLIES; PAP SMEARS AND PELVIC EXAMINATIONS TO LOW INCOME WOMEN. CANCER SCREENING SERVICES INCLUDE PAP SMEARS, PELVIC AND BREAST EXAMS, AND MAMMOGRAPHY AND COLONSCOPY REFERRALS. BOTH PROGRAMS SERVICE RESIDENTS OF THE KANAWHA COUNTY AND CONTIGUOUS COUNTIES. GYNECOLOGICAL SERVICES WERE PROVIDED PRIMARILY TO LOW INCOME AND UNINSURED WOMEN IN KANAWHA COUNTY AND CONTIGUOUS COUNTIES. RIGHT FROM THE START PROVIDES PREGNANCY SUPPORT CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO HIGH-RISK, MEDICAID-ELIGIBLE PREGNANT WOMEN AND INFANTS IN KANAWHA COUNTY.
