COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION, INC. (CHC FOUNDATION) WAS FORMED PRIOR TO NORTON COMMUNITY HOSPITAL'S MERGER IN 2007 WITH MOUNTAIN STATES HEALTH ALLIANCE (MSHA). CHC FOUNDATION IS THE MINORITY OWNER (49.9%) OF NORTON COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, WHILE MSHA OWNS THE REMAINING 50.1%. SINCE THE HOSPITAL'S MERGER, CHC FOUNDATION FUNDING ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS MOVED UNDER MOUNTAIN STATES FOUNDATION'S UMBRELLA, TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE LARGER FOUNDATION'S LEADERSHIP, EXPERIENCE, AND EXPERTISE. MOUNTAIN STATES FOUNDATION INCLUDES A DIVISION FOR EACH COMMUNITY SERVED BY A MSHA HOSPITAL. THE NORTON COMMUNITY HOSPITAL ARM OF THE FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT NORTON COMMUNITY HOSPITAL WITH CAPITAL PROJECTS.
