PQRI SERVES AS A FORUM FOR ACADEMIA, INDUSTRY, AND REGULATORY AGENCIES, TO CREATE BEST PRACTICES AND CONDUCT JOINT RESEARCH IN SUPPORT OF GLOBAL PHARMACEUTICAL AND BIOPHARMACEUTICAL REGULATION, LEVERAGING ITS INTELLECTUAL, SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL RESOURCES TO ADVANCE DRUG DEVELOPMENT AND REGULATION TO BENEFIT PATIENTS.PQRI IS COMPRISED OF THREE TECHNICAL COMMITTEES AND A STEERING COMMITTEE. THE STEERING COMMITTEE GUIDES AND DIRECTS THE SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES OF PQRI AND IS MADE UP OF 6 MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS REPRESENTING THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY, TRADE ORGANIZATIONS AND REGULATORY AGENCIES. THE THREE TECHNICAL COMMITTEES (DEVELOPMENT, BIOPHARMACEUTICS, AND PRODUCT QUALITY) PROVIDE TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC GUIDANCE, DIRECTION, AND REVIEW FOR THE PQRI WORKING GROUPS. THE TECHNICAL COMMITTEES CONSIST OF SCIENTISTS AND REGULATORY EXPERTS FROM MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS AND MAKE TECHNICAL/SCIENTIFIC RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE STEERING COMMITTEE.
PQRI WORKING GROUPS PERFORM RESEARCH MAINLY THROUGH DATA MINING, LABORATORY EXPERIMENTATION, AND INDUSTRY SURVEYS.
RESEARCH: PQRI WILL DONATE FUNDS TO SUPPORT A RESEARCH PROJECT FOR ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLICATION IN CONTINUED PROCESS VERIFICATION.
