FACT OFFERS SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT MOTIVATE CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH AUTISM TO BECOME ENGAGED WITH PEERS AND THE HAMPTON ROADS COMMUNITY. OUR PROGRAMS ENHANCE SOCIAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS BY UTILIZING SIMILAR-AGED NON-DISABLED PEER VOLUNTEERS AND EMPLOYING HIGHLY TRAINED STAFF. OUR PROGRAMS INVOLVE FIELD TRIPS THROUGHOUT HAMPTON ROADS AND OUR FOCUS ON SOCIAL INTEGRATION HELPS TO FOSTER AWARENESS AND ACCEPTANCE OF INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY. IN 2021, FACT PROVIDED SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR APPROXIMATELY 230 DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM.
