THE CASCADES RAPIDS SWIM TEAM IS A MEMBER-RUN, FAMILY-ORIENTED SUMMER SWIM TEAM PROVIDING A FUN AND COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR SWIMMERS IN THE CASCADES COMMUNITY. THE TEAM CONSISTS OF OVER 225 SWIMMERS (AGES 5 - 18) FROM APPROXIMATELY 150 FAMILIES IN COMPETING IN THE COLONIAL SWIM LEAGUE. WE ARE A NON-PROFIT CLUB, RUN BY A VOLUNTEER BOARD OF DIRECTORS WHO WORK ALL YEAR LONG TO MAKE SURE EVERY SWIMMER HAS A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE AS A TEAM MEMBER. THE TEAM PROVIDES TRAINING AND INSTRUCTION TO DEVELOPING SWIMMERS THROUGH THE EXPERTISE OF OUR HEAD COACH, WHO IS A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN SWIMMING COACHES ASSOCIATION, ALLOWING ACCESS TO THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION PROGRAM FOR YOUTH COACHES OF ANY SPORT IN THE UNITED STATES. SWIMMERS IN OUR PROGRAMS PARTICIPATE IN DAILY PRACTICES AND TWICE-A-WEEK DUAL MEETS, IN ADDITION TO TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES AND POST-SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP MEETS.
