ESTABLISHED IN 1972, WAKEFIELD SCHOOL IS AN INDEPENDENT, COLLEGE-PREPARATORY DAY SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS IN JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE 12 ENGAGING IN A RIGOROUS AND INSPIRING LIBERAL ARTS CURRICULUM. FOR THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR, 400 STUDENTS WERE ENROLLED. OUR STUDENT TO TEACHER RATIO IS 8:1. OUR SCHOOL OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF ARTISITC ENDEAVORS FROM ACTING TO PHOTOGRAPHY TO MUSIC THEORY. WE OFFER A VARIETY OF VARSITY SPORTS IN THE UPPER SCHOOL AND NON VARSITY SPORTS IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL. OUR SCHOOL OFFERS NUMEROUS ADVANCED PLACEMENT AND/OR DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSES AND ON AVERAGE OUR STUDENTS TAKE BETWEEN THREE AND FIVE AP CLASSES WHILE ATTENDING THE SCHOOL.
