THE AUXILIARY PROVIDES SERVICE TO, SUPPORT OF, AND PROMOTION OF JOHNSTON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL THROUGH ITS VOLUNTEER PROGRAM. THE AUXILIARY AND ITS VOLUNTEERS OPERATE A GIFT SHOP WHICH PROVIDES GOODS AND SERVICES TO PATIENTS, THEIR FAMILIES, AND HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES. MONETARY ASSISTANCE WAS GRANTED TO JOHNSTON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL TO HELP FUND A PAID DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEERS POSITION WITHIN THE HOSPITAL. THE AUXILIARY PAID FOR MEDICATIONS FOR INDIGENT PATIENTS, INFANT GIFT BAGS AND MISCELLANEOUS GIFTS TO THE PATRONS OF JOHNSTON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL.
