GUIDED BY GOD'S LOVE FOR ALL PEOPLE, CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF EASTERN VIRGINIA PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE COMPASSIONATE SERVICES, COLLABORATES WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS AND ADVOCATES FOR THOSE IN NEED IN ORDER TO EMPOWER AND ENRICH LIVES.

THE ADULT AND SENIOR CARE PROGRAMS PROVIDE A VARIETY OF SERVICES INCLUDING IN-HOME RESPITE CARE, A 'CARES' PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES TRANSPORTATION, MINOR HOME REPAIRS AND FRIENDLY VISITS. GUARDIAN SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE TO THOSE IN NEED THAT ENSURES THE INDIVIDUAL'S SAFETY. CONSERVATOR, POWER OF ATTORNEY AND REPRESENTATIVE PAYEE SERVICES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE TO THOSE THAT NEED ASSISTANCE IN MANAGING THEIR FINANCIAL AFFAIRS. THE LIFE COACH PROGRAM CONNECTS INDIVIDUALS WITH A CHRONIC CONDITION WHO USE THE EMERGENCY ROOM AS THEIR MEDICAL HOME TO A PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN.
CLINICAL COUNSELING SERVICES INCLUDE INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS, MARRIAGE AND COUPLES COUNSELING, FAMILY COUNSELING, SUPPORT GROUPS, COURT-ORDER MENTAL HEALTH EVALUATIONS, DEPRESSION SCREENINGS, 24-HOUR EMERGENCY ON-CALL COVERAGE OF EXISTING CLIENTS AND A SCHOOL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM TO PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS. WE PROVIDE SERVICES TO ALL APPLICANTS REGARDLESS OF THEIR INCOME LEVELS.
THE YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES PROGRAM INCLUDE CONFIDENTIAL PREGNANCY COUNSELING AND A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS FOR THOSE WHO ARE CONSIDERING BOTH DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION. WE OFFER ASSISTANCE WITH SEARCH AND DISCLOSURE SERVICES TO THOSE ADULTS WHO HAD AN ADOPTION PLANNED THROUGH OUR AGENCY. FOR THOSE RELATIVES RAISING CHILDREN OF OTHERS IN THEIR FAMILY, WE PROVIDE CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES AND PARENTING PLANS. WE ALSO PROVIDE EDUCATION PROGRAMS LED BY PROFESSIONAL FACILITATORS WHOSE AIM IS TO BUILD KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING, AND PRACTICAL SKILLS TO ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED.
