BUDDY POPPY DISTRIBUTION - TO PROVIDE AWARENESS OF THE VFW AND ITS MISSIONS. TO RAISE MONEY FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS WHO FIND THEMSELVES IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.


MILITARY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - TO FINANCIALLY ASSIST MEMBERS OF THE MILITARY THAT HAVE BEEN DEPLOYED. TO HELP FUND FAREWELL AND WELCOME HOME GATHERINGS FOR MILITARY UNITS AND TO GIVE ONE TIME GRANTS TO QUALIFYING SERVICE MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES EXPERIENCING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP.


VIRGINIA VFW STATE CONVENTIONS - ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF ALL MEMBERS TO ADVOCATE AWARENESS OF THE PROGRAMS ADMINISTERED BY THE ORGANIZATION. NEW PROGRAMS, ELECTION OF OFFICERS, AND PROMOTION OF VETERANS ISSUES ARE KEY FUNCTIONS OF THE CONVENTION.
