AAFMAA'S PRIMARY ACTIVITY IS TO PROVIDE LIFE INSURANCE FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO QUALIFY UNDER THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE (IRC) SECTION 501(C)(23) DEFINITION, WHICH MEANS THEY MUST BE PRESENT OR PAST MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES OR THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS. IN ADDITION, AAFMAA PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO MEMBERS WITH MILITARY BENEFITS, RETIREMENT PLANNING, VETERANS ADMINISTRATION (VA) CLAIM PROCESSING, AND DOCUMENT STORAGE IN BOTH ITS PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL VAULTS.
