EYEGLASSES FOR THE NEEDY: THE SOCIETY PROVIDES LOW COST EYEGLASSES TO HOMELESS AND LOW INCOME PERSONS IN THE WASHINGTON D.C. AREA EACH YEAR.
MACULAR DEGENERATION AND LOW VISION EDUCATION: THE SOCIETY WORKS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC REGARDING EYE HEALTH THROUGH SEMINARS THAT ARE LED BY PROFESSIONALS WITH EXPERTISE IN THE FIELD. THE SOCIETY ALSO OFFERS SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS AND A FREE MONTHLY NEWSLETTER.
