NH HDFC (ALSO REFERRED TO AS MARION AGNES HOUSE, AFTER ITS FOUNDER) PROVIDES FIFTEEN PERMANENTLY AFFORDABLE APARTMENTS TO FORMERLY HOMELESS FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS. IN FY21, 25 CHILDREN RESIDED IN THE BUILDING. ITS ADJOINING PROGRAM SPACE HOSTS A NUMBER OF EVENTS AND SERVICES OPEN TO BOTH RESIDENTS AND THE WIDER COMMUNITY, INCLUDING NUTRITIONAL ASSISTANCE, FINANCIAL CAPABILITY PROGRAMMING, FREE TAX PREPARATION, AND A VARIETY OF WORKSHOPS. LOUISE'S PANTRY, OUR CLIENT-CHOICE FOOD SECURITY PROGRAM BASED OUT OF NH HDFC, OPENS ITS DOORS TO 150-200 HOUSEHOLDS EACH WEEK, PRIMARILY IMMIGRANTS AND SENIORS. THE MONEYLAB FINANCIAL CAPABILITY PROGRAM OFFERS PERSONALIZED FINANCIAL COACHING FOR LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS, AS WELL AS A YEARLY VITA-CERTIFIED TAX CLINIC. WORKSHOPS OFFERED OUT OF THE SPACE RANGE FROM PERSONAL WELLNESS, TO HEALTHY FAMILY DYNAMICS, TO HOUSING COUNSELING AND MORE. RESIDENTS OF NH HDFC ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN THESE ON-SITE SERVICES AS NEEDED.
