STEMACAD IS AN INITIATIVE TO HELP THOSE THAT ARE UNEMPLOYED AND UNDEREMPLOYED, INCLUDING EX-OFFENDERS AND VETERANS, PENETRATE THE HIGH-DEMAND AND WELL-PAYING IT SECTOR. THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS ECONOMIC SECURITY BY PREPARING PARTICIPANTS TO GET GLOBALLY CERTIFIED IN IT AND SPECIFICALLY BE READY TO WORK IN IT FIELD.
URBAN EDS TECHNOACADEMY PROGRAM PROVIDES STEM EDUCATION TO INSPIRE YOUTH OF COLOR IN MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS TO LEARN ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY & ENGINEERING CONCEPTS TO INCLUDE CLOUD COMPUTING AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT. THE PROGRAM STIMULATES THEM TO LEARN, ENCOURAGES THEM TO COME TO SCHOOL, AND SUPPORTS THEIR ACADEMIC RECOVERY. (THIS PROGRAM WAS NOT CONDUCTED DURING FY21 DUE TO COVID).
