TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP THE PROFESSIONAL SKILLS OF OUR MEMBERS; TO ENCOURAGE AND ASSIST MINORITY STUDENTS IN ENTERING THE ACCOUNTING PROFESSION; TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS TO FULFILL THEIR CIVIC RESPONSIBILITIES; TO ENSURE LONG-TERM FINANCIAL STABILITY AND PROVIDE ADEQUATE RESOURCES TO IMPLEMENT CHAPTER, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL PROGRAMS; AND TO REPRESENT THE INTEREST OF CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE MINORITY ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONALS

PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO COLLEGE STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS ARE DETERMINED AS FOLLOWS: FULL-TIME STUDENTS SUBMIT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS WHICH DETAIL THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS, ACTIVITIES AND GRADES; THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE EVALUATED BY A COMMITTEE OF VOLUNTEERS; EACH STUDENT'S APPLICATION IS GIVEN A SCORE BASED ON A GRADING SCALE; AND STUDENTS RECEIVING THE HIGHEST SCORE ARE AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS BASED ON AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS.


PROVIDE STUDENTS A FULL-SERVICE CONFERENCE TO INCLUDE INTERVIEW AND SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AS WELL AS AWARD CEREMONIES. THE CONFERENCE PROVIDES TECHNICAL SESSIONS FOR LEARNING, LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT. WE ALSO PROVIDE EXPERIENCES FOR STUDENTS TO INTERACT WITH PROFESSIONALS AND POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS.
