WATER MANAGEMENT- NJRC&D WORKED IN LOCAL WATERSHEDS, INCLUDING THE MUSCONETCONG AND NESHANIC RIVER WATERSHEDS, IMPLEMENTING AGRICULTURAL BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES; CONDUCTING OUTREACH/EDUCATION TO LANDOWNERS REGARDING GOOD PRACTICES TO LIMIT NONPOINT SOURCE POLLUTION TO OUR WATERWAYS; AND WORKING WITH OTHER NONPROFITS, MUNICIPALITIES AND COUNTIES TO IDENTIFY AND REMEDY IMPAIRED WATERWAYS THROUGH PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION AND PRIORITIZATION OF CONSERVATION PLANNING ON PRESERVED LANDS. STAFF CONTINUED WORK ON THE PEQUEST KENCO WETLAND MITIGATION PROJECT IN INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ MONITORING AND MAINTAINING WETLAND PLANTED AREAS AND RIPARIAN BUFFER PLANTINGS.
