SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED TO 20+ PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY STUDENTS IN 2021.
CHARITIES PARTNERED WITH THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY EXECUTIVES STAND UP AND DELIVER PROGRAM TO DISTRIBUTE APPROXIMATELY 30,000 MEALS TO 12,500 FAMILIES IN 2021 FOR THE COMMUNITY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
HBCU FOR LIFE PROVIDED COLLEGE APPLICATION ASSISTANCE TO 105 SCHOLARS, FINANCED 40 COLLEGE STUDENTS APPLICATION FEES, DONATED 500 TOILETRY PACKAGES TO COLLEGE STUDENTS.
PARTNERED WITH UNITED CITIZENS AGAINST POVERTY (UCAP) TO SUPPORT THE PROGRESSIVE PATHWAYS PROGRAM THAT HELPS HOMELESS FAMILIES FIND PERMANENT HOMES BY HOSTING A VIRTUAL HOUSEWARMING WITH ENOUGH HOME ESSENTIALS TO FILL FOUR FAMILY UNITS. ADOPTED FAMILY PROGRAM INCLUDES 17 CHILDREN, 1 GRANDPARENT HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD, 1 FOSTER PARENT HEAD OF FAMILY, 1 ADOPTED PARENT FAMILY AND 3 SINGLE PARENT FAMILIES. "LET'S GET DIGITAL SUMMER CAMP" SPONSORED BY A DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION GRANT SERVED 15 STUDENTS, ALL OF WHOM RECEIVED CHROMEBOOKS TO ENSURE THEIR PARTICIPATION. 74 FAMILIES INCLUDING STUDENTS FROM PRINCETON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND WILLIAM BEANES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL RECEIVED NEW SHOES THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LOCAL JC PENNEY STORE.
