A MONTH-LONG FESTIVAL IN DC TO CELEBRATE THE GIFT OF CHERRY TREES TO THE US BY JAPAN. COMMITTED TO PROVIDING ENRICHING PROGRAMMING FOR THE MILLIONS WHO TURN THEIR ATTENTION TO THE NATION'S CAPITAL EACH YEAR TO TAKE IN THE BEAUTY OF THE BLOSSOMS.
IN 2021, IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, NCBF PRODUCED THE NATIONAL CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL CELEBRATION SHOW, A NATIONALLY SYNDICATED BROADCAST CELEBRATING SPRINGTIME IN WASHINGTON, DC. THE FORMAT CHANGE WAS A RESULT OF THE CONDITIONS AT THE TIME.
SEVERAL RELATED SPECIAL PROGRAM EVENTS ARE HELD LEADING UP TO AND DURING THE FESTIVAL. THERE WERE SIMILAR TEMPORARY CHANGES TO THE FORMAT AND EXECUTION OF EVENTS DUE TO THE PANDEMIC.
