NEW YEARS EVE GALA EVENT ON DECEMBER 31, 2019 THE HYATTSVILLE/LANDOVER MD ALUMNI CHAPTER CONDUCTED ITS 33RD ANNUAL BLACK TIE NYE GALA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ALEXANDRIA FAIRFAX VA ALUMNI CHAPTER. THROUGH THE YEARS THIS EVENT HAS SUPPORTED THE CHAPTERS SCHOLARSHIP AND GUIDE RIGHT INITIATIVES. THE ATTENDANCE OF THE EVENT HAS GROWN TO EXCEED 900 PATRONS ANNUALLY. LAST YEAR THERE WERE ROUGHLY 950 PATRONS IN ATTENDANCE.
GUIDE RIGHT PROGRAM IS A MENTORING PROGRAM CONDUCTED BY THE FRATERNITY. THE PROGRAM IS SET UP TO ALLOW MEMBERS OF THE FRATERNITY TO MENTOR YOUNG MEN IN HIGH SCHOOL. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES THE KAPPA LEAGUE WHICH IS MADE OF YOUNG MEN THAT RECEIVE GUIDANCE AND MENTORSHIP IN THE AREAS OF FINANCE, HEALTH, AND CAREERS.
BOWLING PARTY THE BOWLING PARTY IS AN ANNUAL EVENT THAT IS GIVEN BY THE HYATTSVILLE/LANDOVER ALUMNI CHAPTER. THE EVENT BRINGS TOGETHER MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY AND THE DIVINE 9 FOR A NIGHT OF BOWLING AND FUN. THE EVENT LAST FOUR HOURS AND TICKETS ARE SOLD PRIOR TO THE EVENT AS WELL AS AT THE DOOR THE NIGHT OF THE EVENT.
