ENCOURAGES RESEARCH ON SHELLFISH WITH AN EMPHASIS ON THOSE OF ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY DISSEMINATING SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION ON SHELLFISH THROUGH AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE, NEWSLETTERS, AND A PEER-REVIEWED PUBLICATION. IN FISCAL YEAR 2022, THE ASSOCIATION HELD THEIR ANNUAL CONFERENCE AS PART OF THE TRIENNIAL MEETING IN SAN DIEGO, CA - THERE WAS MODEST PARTICIPATION DUE TO LATE EFFECTS OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THE ASSOCIATION WAS ABLE TO PUBLISH AND MAIL THREE ISSUES 403 - 412 OF THE SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL AND FOUR ISSUES OF THE NATIONAL SHELLFISHERIES ASSOCIATION QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER.
