WE ACCOMPLISH QUALITY THROUGH:INFORMED, EMPOWERED CONSUMERS;EFFECTIVE CITIZEN GROUPS AND OMBUDSMAN PROGRAMS;PROMOTING BEST PRACTICES IN CARE DELIVERY;PUBLIC POLICY RESPONSIVE TO CONSUMER NEEDS; ANDENFORCEMENT OF CONSUMER-DIRECTED STANDARDS.

COMMUNICATIONS AND MEMBER SERVICES- THROUGH PUBLICATIONS, PUBLIC APPEARANCES, E-MAILS & MAIL, MEDIA OUTREACH, AND ITS WEBSITE, NCCNHR PROVIDES INFORMATION, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, AND INFORMATION ABOUT QUALITY CARE IN LONG-TERM CARE TO CONSUMERS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, ADVOCATES, PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD, PROVIDERS, RESEARCHERS, AND POLICYMAKERS.
NATIONAL OMBUDSMAN RESOURCE CENTER (NORC)- FUNDED BY THE ADMINISTRATION ON AGING, THE NORC PROVIDES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, TRAINING, AND RESOURCES TO THE 53 STATE AND MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND LOCAL LONG-TERM CARE OMBUDSMEN WHO ASSIST RESIDENTS WITH ENSURING QUALITY CARE. WE SPONSOR A WEBSITE, A NATIONAL CONFERENCE, AND NUMEROUS TELECONFERENCE TRAININGS EVERY YEAR, IN RESPONSE TO THE EXPRESSED NEEDS OF THE OMBUDSMAN COMMUNITY AND THE ADMINISTRATION ON AGING.
ANNUAL MEETINGS - NCCNHR'S ANNUAL MEETING AND CONFERENCE BRINGS TOGETHER THE COMMUNITY OF ADVOCATES AND PROFESSIONALS WHO ARE COMMITTED TO IMPROVING CARE IN NURSING HOMES AND OTHER LONG-TERM CARE SETTINGS.DUE TO COVID-19 THE ORGANIZATION DECIDED TO HOLD ITS ANNUAL MEETING IN A VIRTUAL FORMAT. THE VIRTUAL SETTING OF THE ANNUAL MEETING HAS ALLOWED NCCNHR TO BRING TOGETHER A MUCH LARGER NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS THAN IN PREVIOUS YEARS.
