THE PURPOSE OF THE FULTON COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER FOUNDATION (FOUNDATION) SHALL BE EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE, SCIENTIFIC, LITERARY, AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES PERMITTED WITHIN THE SCOPE OF SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OF 1986, AS AMENDED, (THE CODE) PRIMARILY INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO SUPPORTING THE PROMOTION AND FACILITATION OF HEALTH, WELLNESS, AND MEDICAL CARE FOR THE CITIZENS OF FULTON COUNTY AND THE SURROUNDING SERVICE AREA. THE FUNCTION OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO RECEIVE AND MANAGE FUNDS FROM THE FOLLOWING POSSIBLE SOURCES: ENDOWMENTS, CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES, COMMUNITY SUPPORT, TRUSTS, AND BEQUESTS.
