CEINC PROMOTES SCIENTIFIC COLLABORATION TO ACHIEVE CONSERVATION THROUGH SCIENCE-BASED NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT THAT EMPHASIZES SUSTAINABILITY, ECOLOGICAL HEALTH, AND THE INCLUSION OF HUMANS IN THE ECOSYSTEM. CEINC FACILITATES COORDINATION AND COLLABORATION AMONG LOCAL AGENCIES, RESOURCE MANAGERS, AND LOCAL CONSTITUENCIES AS PART OF THE HUMBOLDT BAY INITIATIVE. THROUGH THE HUMBOLDT BAY SEA LEVEL RISE VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT AND ADAPTATION PLANNING PROJECT, CEINC PROVIDES THE COLLABORATIVE SCIENCE AND PLANNING NECESSARY FOR LOCAL COASTAL COMMUNITIES TO RESPOND TO CHANGES IN SEA LEVEL AND CLIMATE.
