A PLACE TO CALL HOME PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO LOUDOUN COUNTY RESIDENTS DISABLED BY MENTAL ILLNESSES. OVER 20 PEOPLE WERE SERVED DURING THE YEAR, PREVENTING HOMELESSNESS BY HELPING PROVIDE SAFE, CLEAN AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING.
A HELPING HAND PROVIDES MONETARY SUPPORT TO LOUDOUN RESIDENTS DISABLED BY MENTAL ILLNESSES WHO ARE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN THERAPEUTIC SERVICES FROM LOUDOUN MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AND WHO NEED TEMPORARY FINANCIAL HELP FOR UTILITY PAYMENTS, UTILITY DEPOSITS OR RENTAL DEPOSITS.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE SUPPORTS NEW CLIENTS BY PROVIDING CARE PACKAGES, WHICH CONTAIN GIFT CARDS AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS SUPPORTIVE ITEMS.
COMMUNITY & PUBLIC AWARENESS, EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY EVENTS INCLUDE:WALK FOR HOPE PROGRAM - MENTAL HEALTH CONSUMERS, ADVOCATES, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS COME TOGETHER ANNUALLY FOR A THREE-MILE WALK AND PICNIC, FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO SOCIALIZE, AND TO RAISE PUBLIC AWARENESS ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH AND MENTAL ILLNESSES.FRIENDS BEING FRIENDS PROGRAM - OUTREACH ACTIVITIES CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR FRIENDSHIP AND SOCIALIZATION.
