GIVENS PROVIDES HOUSING, SUPPORT AND HEALTH AND WELLNESS SERVICES FOR APPROXIMATELY 1,450 SENIORS ON ITS FOUR CAMPUSES. THIS IS DONE BY PROVIDING HOUSING AND HEALTH CARE FOR SENIORS OF ALL ECONOMIC LEVELS. THIS EFFORT REQUIRES ASSISTANCE FUNDS WHICH ARE SECURED THROUGH CHARITABLE SUPPORT, EARNINGS FROM ENDOWMENTS, AND OPERATING REVENUES. THROUGH OUTREACH ENDEAVORS GIVENS IMPACTS APPROXIMATELY 6,000 INDIVIDUALS ANNUALLY THROUGH WELLNESS AND HEALTH EDUCATION, MEDICATION ASSISTANCE, MEALSITES, MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LOAN CLOSETS, BABY EQUIPMENT AND RESOURCES CLOSETS, DIABETES AND OTHER CHRONIC DISEASE MANAGEMENT EDUCATION, AND A COMMUNITY NURSE TO HELP OUR LOWER INCOME RESIDENTS NAVIGATE THE HEALTHCARE ENVIRONMENT.
