THIS SOCIETY IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, AND SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES. TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN OBSERVATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL FACILITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE MEMBERSHIP AND THE COMMUNITY. IN 2021, WITH SOME RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE DUE TO THE PANDEMIC THE SOCIETY HOSTED 17 PUBLIC OBSERVING EVENINGS, THE SPRING AND FALL ASTRONOMY DAYS, CAMPING WITH THE STARS PUBLIC OUTREACH WEEKEND, PRIVATE OUTREACH EVENTS, AND PARTNERED WITH BAYLOR REGIONAL PARK FOR EVENING EVENTS.
