CMC RESUMED ITS SUMMER PROGRAM IN 2021 ON A SMALLER SCALE AFTER 2020 CANCELLATION DUE TO COVID 19. THE CONFERENCE ALSO MADE SOME GOODWILL PAYMENTS TO FACULTY STILL SUFFERING FROM LACK OF WORK DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, WHETHER OR NOT THEY DID WORK FOR THE CONFERENCE. PARTICIPANTS WERE COACHED BY PROFESSIONAL FACULTY UP TO 21 HOURS PER WEEK IN UP TO FOUR ASSIGNED CHAMBER WORKS.
CONCERTS BY CMCS DISTINGUISHED FACULTY OF PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS WERE HELD SIX TIMES DURING THE THREE WEEK 2021 PROGRAM.
WE PAID THE SENIOR COMPOSER IN RESIDENCE 4,000.00 FOR ONGOING DUTIES DURING THE OFFSEASON, BUT HE DID NOT ATTEND THE CONFERENCE.
