CONSUMER CREDIT COUNSELING SERVICE, INC., IS A NOT FOR PROFIT AGENCY THAT PROMOTES FINANCIAL LITERACY TO INDIVIDUALS NEEDING GUIDANCE FROM CERTIFIED FINANCIAL COUNSELORS. DURING EACH SESSION, EACH CLIENT IS GIVEN A DETAILED BUDGET, GOALS, A CLIENT ACTION PLAN AND OPTIONS TO ELIMINATE THEIR DEBT. IN ADDITION TO FINANCIAL COUNSELING, CCCS OFFERS NUMEROUS EDUCATION SEMINARS THROUGH THE YEAR AND THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF KANSAS. TOPICS INCLUDE BUDGETING, CUTTING EXPENSES, CREDIT REPORTS AND SCORES, AS WELL AS IDENTITY THEFT, COLLEGE COSTS AND UNDERSTANDING RETIREMENT. CCCS IS ALSO APPROVED TO PROVIDE PRE-FILING COUNSELING AND PRE-DISCHARGE EDUCATION TO CLIENTS THAT CHOOSE TO FILE BANKRUPTCY. IN 2021, CCCS TAUGHT 102 SEMINARS TO 3,153 ATTENDEES. A TOTAL OF 1,474 CLIENTS WERE COUNSELED.
