THE PICKIN ON THE PLAINS BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL IS A THREE DAY EVENT HELD THE THIRD WEEKEND OF JULY AT THE THOMAS COUNTY KANSAS FAIRGROUNDS. A FULL SLATE OF LOCAL AND MIDWEST AREA BANDS PERFORM UNDER AN AIR-COOLED CANOPY STARTING FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY. YOUTH ACTIVITIES, A CRAFT FAIR AND MUSICAL WORKSHOPS ARE ALSO PART OF THE ACTIVITIES.
