Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
BARTOW REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, INC. (BRMC) IS A FULL-SERVICE 72-BED COMMUNITY HOSPITAL WHICH BEGAN OPERATIONS IN 2016. BRMC PROVIDED INPATIENT CARE TO 3,377 PATIENTS AND TREATED 35,456 PATIENTS IN THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT DURING THE YEAR. THROUGH EFFORTS OF THE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND THE HOSPITAL'S CHARITY CARE PROGRAM, BRMC SAW A NET COMMUNITY BENEFIT EXPENSE TOTALING APPROXIMATELY $9.9 MILLION. THE HOSPITAL ALSO PROVIDED OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICES TOTALING NEARLY $947 THOUSAND. REFER TO SCHEDULE H FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
