WE ARE WORKERS, UNITED ACROSS DIFFERENT INDUSTRIES TO IMPROVE OUR WORKING CONDITIONS AND OUR LIVES. WE ARE COMING TOGETHER AS A MULTIRACIAL COMMUNITY OF WORKING PEOPLE, INCLUDING IMMIGRANTS, WOMEN, PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, AND LGBTQ+ WORKERS. WE BUILD POWER THROUGH EDUCATION, ORGANIZING, AND ENFORCEMENT. WE WORK TO RAISE AND UPHOLD STANDARDS IN THE WORKPLACE. AND WE FIGHT FOR ECONOMIC AND RACIAL JUSTICE IN OUR COMMUNITIES.

THE RAISE WAGES NOW PROJECT WAS A FISCALLY SPONSORED PROJECT OF THE FAIR WORK CENTER. RWN PERFORMED RESEARCH AND DESIGN WORK AROUND A POTENTIAL NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION OFFERING BOTH ADVOCACY TOOLS AND FINANCIAL HEALTH PRODUCTS, DEDICATED TO BUILDING A MORE FINANCIALLY SECURE FUTURE FOR WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE PROJECT AND FWC'S FISCAL SPONSORSHIP ENDED IN 2021.
OUTREACH AND EDUCATION - THE FAIR WORK CENTER CONDUCTS COMMUNITY-BASED KNOW YOUR RIGHTS WORKSHOPS ABOUT WORKPLACE RIGHTS; WE PROVIDE RESOURCES OUTLINING WORKING RIGHTS AND PROTECTIONS, AND WE HELP WORKERS NAVIGATE CITY, STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TO ENFORCE THOSE RIGHTS.
COVID-19 IMMIGRANT RELIEF - IN 2020, THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED A 38,000,000 GRANT FROM THE WA COVID-19 IMMIGRANT RELIEF FUND DESIGNATED FOR ONE-TIME CASH ASISSTANCE PAYMENTS TO ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS EXPERIENCING HARDSHIP DUE TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY RELATED TO THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE; FINAL DISBURSEMENTS FOR THIS PROGRAM WERE MADE IN 2021.
LEGAL CLINIC - THE FAIR WORK LEGAL CLINIC IS A FREE CIVIL LEGAL AID CLINIC. WE PROVIDE FREE INDIVIDUAL CONSULTATIONS, PRO SE ASSISTANCE, REPRESENTATION IN ADMINISTRATIVE ENFORCEMENT PROCESSES, AND CONDUCT STATE LITIGATION REGARDING EMPLOYMENT LAW, INCLUDING WAGE AND HOUR, DISCRIMINATION, AND RETALIATION. WE ENSURE THAT WORKERS KNOW THEIR RIGHTS UNDER CITY, STATE, AND FEDERAL LAW AND THAT EMPLOYERS ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO LABOR STANDARDS.
