THE MISSION OF THE SUMMIT VALLEY HORSE CENTER IS TO PROVIDE REHABILITATION TO RESCUED HORSES, SO THAT THEY ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE ADOPTED INTO LOVING HOMES. WE ALSO ASPIRE TO ENRICH THE LIVES OF OUR COMMUNITY OF VOLUNTEERS AND VISITORS TO SUMMIT COUNTY BY PROVIDING THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT THE NATURE OF HORSES, HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM, AND TO EXPERIENCE THE WELL-KNOWN BENEFITS OF HORSE-PERSON CONNECTIONS. PEOPLE HELPING HORSES HELPING PEOPLE.

IN 2023 SUMMIT VALLEY HORSE CENTER HOSTED HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEER VISITS TO THE RANCH WITH OVER 12,000 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER WORK, INCLUDING CLASSES FOR SUMMIT COUNTY SCHOOLS, KEYSTONE SCIENCE SCHOOL, THE GIRL SCOUTS, AND 4-H. IN ADDITION THERE WERE OVER 96 VOLUNTEERS WHO WORKED AT THE RESADDLED THRIFT STORE.
